A study has shown any
indication that the diet for two days a week by eating
only vegetables, fruits, and milk can prevent a person has
breast cancer.
Known, the women who reduced intake of 650 calories per day for two weeks, the level of cancer-causing hormones in their blood will be decreased significantly, according to a study quoted as saying by The Daily Mail.
In the study, involved as many as 50 women aged 30-45 years are overweight and at risk of genetic breast cancer. For two days each week so that they restrict food consuming only a third of the required 2,000 calories a woman. The food menu consists of four servings of vegetables, one fruit, two cups of milk or green tea. And, during the day other than the two days they were allowed to eat as usual.
After six months, the researchers realized that the participants experienced a decrease in the amount of blood leptin and insulin, two hormones that can cause cancer.
Besides these diets, the researchers also conducted tests on 50 women. They also undergo daily diets by limiting sugary foods, meat, and alcohol so they just consume per day 1,500 calories. The result, these women also experienced a reduced risk of cancer in six months later and their insulin levels were even more drastic decline than those who diet for two days a week.
To that end, the researchers also concluded two days per week diet is more effective than the usual diet. The results of this study have been published in the October issue of Journal of Obesity 2010.
